Giovanni di Pietro di Bernardone, was an Italian mystic, poet, and Catholic friar who founded the order of The Franciscans. Inspired to live a life of poverty, he became a beggar and itinerant preacher, and came to be Saint Francis of Assisi in 1228, when canonized by Pope Gregory IX.
A Quote by Saint Francis: " I have been all things unholy. If God can work through me, He can work through anyone"
