At Hermansader's Queen-Anne Victorian Mansion (circa 1890), all of the rooms are appointed with period antique furniture and a lot of art work.  The owner of the mansion, Tom F. Hermansader, was formally a junior-senior high school art teacher for 16 years.  In Tom's eleventh year of teaching, he began developing his print collection.  With more than fifty years of experience in drawing and painting, Tom is a noted artist not only in Lancaster county but throughout the United States.  Tom's art is in the collection of United States President's, United States Senators, United States Attorney General, State Representatives, Pennsylvania Governor's, New York Mayor R. Guiliani, Mayor's, actors, professional atheles, etc.  He currently has over 160 open-edition and limited edition prints in his collection.  www.hermansadersartgallery.com.  On the second floor of the mansion, there are five bedrooms, each with its own fireplace.  Each room is named in honor of artists', past and present.  The Renoir, Van Gogh and Hermansader rooms have shower stalls.  The Renoir suite features a bedroom and is adjoined with a "round room".  The round room has an array of five long windows and is great for reading or just relaxing.  The Whistler room has a Jacuzzi Bath.  The Rembrandt room has the "Kohler Birthday Bathtub", an old-fashioned claw foot tub, great for soaking and reading a good book.  Wait till you see the very unique light/fan in the Rembrandt room, quite unique!  Of course, the Hermansader room has both Tom's and his father's art work.  Outside the mansion, there is a wrap-around porch for you to enjoy.  Gardens surround the mansion with a great looking gazebo.  Also, you will enjoy the three pergola's Tom had built as well as the 16' x 32' pond with a waterfall.  The pond is planted with irises and water lilies, and has koi and goldfish, too.  The Lancaster Newspaper wrote an article on the landscaping entitled "THE ROYAL TREATMENT".  The reporter wrote, "Tom Hermansader takes the principles guiding his artwork and uses them to design rooms in his Columbia bed-and-breakfast, and the garden areas outside".
