The Miner's House

After moving this 18x32 hand-hewn log cabin to the Green Gate property, we added an upper floor, super-insulated shell and a period-correct exterior of weathered planking and rusty metal roofing.  The mix of log construction, custom metal and iron elements,  and "hand-crafted everything" create a truly breathtaking architectural experience. 

An open-concept main floor provides ample space for cooking and lounging and features a large custom kitchen and slab wood dining table,  log walls, large picture windows with forest views, in-floor heat, A/C, and of course a beautiful woodstove for those chilly winter days.

The upper floor includes a laundry center and two master bedrooms, complete with queen beds, vintage furnishings, circle-sawn oak flooring and bathrooms adorned with custom slate tilework and hand-crafted elements.

in the warmer months, guests enjoy the wrap-around porch and screen enclosure for bug-free lounging.
