The Marquis de Lafayette was given a reception in 1825 when he stopped to rest at the Inn on his steamboat voyage from St. Louis to Nashville. In his honor, the suite boasts luxurious taste and rich accents to make any French diplomat feel at home.

The upstairs suite offers seasonal lake views, easy access to the wrap-around porch, a queen-sized bed with private bathroom, and beautiful hand-carved wood beam ceiling.
