Island Bird Suite

The Island Bird Suite is our most popular suite, with a panoramic waterfront view of the St. Michaels Harbor. Featuring a French door private entrance into the kitchenette area, this waterfront suite is also our most private area on the grounds. The bedroom features a king sized bed, complete with brand new pillows and linens, and a high vaulted ceiling with exposed beams. The private full bath includes a stand-in shower, fresh towels, makeup cloths, blow dryer, and toiletries. The separate kitchenette area includes a custom mahogany counter with galley sink, whiskey barrel bar top table, small refrigerator and freezer, microwave, and Keurig coffee & tea station. Other room amenities include a smart TV, USB charging ports, and a personal remote controlled hvac system. 

Enjoy a peaceful morning watching the sun rise over the harbor with a cup of coffee on your own private terrace under the pergola.

This suite is named after the Chesapeake Bay log canoe "Island Bird", which was built in 1882 at Tilghman Island, Maryland by William Sydney Covington. She is owned by the Hon. John C. North II, the great-great-grandson of Mr. Covington, and continues to race to this day under sail number 4.
