This round room was originally built as a private gambling room in the late 1893. The mansion hosted many high stakes poker games until it was lost in one of those infamous games in 1895. Today it is a unique guest bedroom with breathtaking views of the Mississippi River. The private bath has a huge double shower. Furnished with a queen size ornate white iron bed and late 19th century Midwest oak furniture this room has a feeling of privacy with a picture postcard view. The Victorian spiral staircase ends at a foyer that steps out to a wonderful observation deck that has an outdoor Jacuzzi that is operational most of the year. Several celebrated writers have stayed in this room over the decades.
