The East Room

A nostalgic feeling overwhelms you when you step into this bedroom suite. The sitting area is furnished with a loveseat couch facing the nine foot ornate oak carved working seasonal  fireplace. Victorian oak furniture, a quarter sawn oak queen bed has carved appliqués of the Goddess Venus.  The magnificent Mississippi River seems to pour in from the windows. The adjacent private bathroom has a wonderful Victorian oak rimmed soaking tub and shower, complete with ormolu dolphin feet.  The Victorian lavatory bowl is uniquely ornate and is surrounded by a pink marbled top wall mounted sink. The bathroom has a huge stained glass window filling the bathroom with natural ambient light.  If you dream of what it was like in the late 1890's, this is the suite for you.
